Welcome to a short picture tour of the Magnolia
Cloud Forest.
All these pictures were taken early in the dry season of 2001/2002.

Hola, I'm Mario,
your guide to the finca, Magnolia Cloud Forest
High in the oak trees, you can see the bromeliads
(through water drops on the camas lens)
The undergrowth grows about three feet a day
Native bamboo and ferns are everywhere
That's Mario in the primary forest
And again, on top of the mountain, where we have our lookout
point, called "mirador." |
With an abundance of moisture everything
grows. There used to be a path right about here somewhere!
We hope you enjoyed your little tour of the Magnolia
Cloud Forest. Next time you're in our neighborhood, contact
us for your own real adventure. |
We all enjoyed the tour and hope to be back
soon!!!
| When these pictures were taken, late in the year (mid December),
the clouds were hanging right on the mountain top. The moisture
in the air was so thick you could of cut it with a knife. |
